Rachel is a medical student at Rosalind Franklin Chicago Medical School. She has a strong desire to empower Latino medical students and the Latino community’s through healthcare leadership. Rachel completed her undergraduate degree at University of California at San Diego, where she led a conference for 300+ underrepresented minority students interested in health careers. She also established the first chapter of the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) at her medical school. Rachel is now the Vice President of External Affairs on the LMSA national executive committee. She is a strong believer in teamwork and is thrilled to join MOLA in a leadership role uniting medical students from throughout Chicago and creating strong links between LMSA and MOLA.
