The Department of Radiology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time Radiologist to join the Body and Abdominal Imaging Division. Appointment rank on the non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator career track will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Responsibilities include teaching and mentoring FSM trainees and students.
Qualified candidates must be board certified, with additional training in abdominal imaging. The ideal candidate will have expertise in abdominal imaging and a demonstrated interest in an academic career. Excellent clinical skills are also a prerequisite in this high-volume department (CT, MR, ultrasound and GI/GU radiology excluding interventional procedures).
The Department of Radiology faculty provides clinical services to patients at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH) and its Northwestern Medicine affiliates. NMH is a state-of-the-art tertiary medical center in the North Michigan Avenue area of downtown Chicago, is the primary teaching hospital of the Feinberg School of Medicine and is the academic center of the Northwestern Medicine network of regional hospitals and outpatient centers. State-of-the art facilities are available for all imaging modalities related to body imaging, including 2 new Siemens GI Fluoroscopy units, 11 CT scanners (including two Siemens FORCE DS/DE, one 128 AS+ and several 64-slice units) and over 18 clinical MR scanners (including 8 3T units). A PET-MR scanner has been recently installed.
