Christian is a diabetes health equity researcher at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, leading a project to reduce blindness among diabetic Latines. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison and will be matriculating into medical school during fall of 2023. Within MOLA, Christian is part of the Public Health committee, where he hopes to add valuable insight from his 2 years of experience working as a COVID response specialist at Public Health Madison and Dane County, and coordinating COVID informational dissemination projects with the Latino Health Council. To Christian, MOLA is a community of individuals committed to supporting the personal and professional growth of Latines in health, including one’s own. A word of advice he would give to anyone wanting to join MOLA is to “not let perfection stand in the way of progress”. Please, come help us build a better future!
