As a valued member of the MOLA community, you know the transformative impact we’ve made together in our mission to increase representation and reduce inequities in healthcare for the Latino/a/e/x, Hispanic, and Spanish-speaking (LHS+) community. Since 2017, we’ve supported over 400 mentees and scholars across the U.S., awarded more than $280,000 in scholarships, and hosted over 35 professional development events. But we can—and must—do more.
The challenges facing the LHS+ community are significant but surmountable. Though comprising 18% of the U.S. population, this group represents only 6.1% of medical school graduates and 5.8% of the physician workforce. Through mentorship, scholarships, and leadership programming, MOLA empowers future healthcare professionals to close this gap and address systemic health inequities.

- Mentorship Expansion: Our personalized mentorship model supports mentees at every step of their journey, offering guidance in academics, personal wellness, and career development.
- Scholarship Growth: By endowing our scholarships, we ensure sustainable support for aspiring LHS+ healthcare leaders, from high school to advanced medical training.
- Organizational Investment: Expanding our team will allow us to enhance programming and resources, fostering leadership and professional success across the LHS+ healthcare community.
