Objectives
Provide ten junior and seniors undergraduate Hispanic students with clinical, biomedical and community-based research experience. An intense 10-week program that provides a foundation in research methodology, practical knowledge of research studies, and introduces participants to public health and health disparities.
PARE Requirements
- Complete all sections of the online applications
- Including a personal statement
- Provide a copy of official school transcripts
- Provide one letter of recommendation from instructor or advisor
- Provide a resume or CV
- Formal interview with finalists
- Application deadline March 1, 2024
PARE Eligibility & Responsibilities
- Be a resident of the state of Illinois
- Must be a rising junior or senior with a premedical educational goal
- Be in good academic standing
- Committed to full ten weeks
- Must attend program orientation, weekly seminars, and complete exit survey
- Develop and present a scientific paper and presentation
- Work (research) Monday – Friday 30hrs/week
