Medical Justice in Advocacy Fellowship
The Medical Justice in Advocacy Fellowship is a collaborative educational initiative to empower physician-led advocacy that advances equity and removes barriers to optimal health for marginalized people and communities.
Started in 2021, in collaboration with the Satcher Health Leadership Institute (SHLI) at Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM), the fellowship mobilizes physicians to be part of the next generation of advocacy leaders, driving meaningful policy and structural changes that produce equity and justice in the communities they serve.

Program Advancing Research for Equity – M1 Students
Provide ten M1 going into M2 Hispanic students with clinical, biomedical and community-based research experience. An intense 8-week program that provides a foundation in research methodology, practical knowledge of research studies, and introduces participants to public health and health disparities.
Leadership Fellowship – Development, Governance and Board of Directors, Finance, Membership Engagement and Medical Students Committee
In alignment with MOLA’s mission, the Leadership Fellowship Program is designed to provide the selected candidate with a wide range of learning opportunities and experiences to build skills for management, leadership policy and research in healthcare, with emphasis on non-for-profit, health administration, public health and health professional associations.
MOLA is a comprehensive healthcare professional and medical association that focuses on the advancement, health, and wellness of Hispanic/Latin@s and provides ample exposure for interdisciplinary engagement within several health professions with a focus on physicians and physicians-in-training. MOLA has built a robust Latinx health care professions pipeline in the Midwest and national and international reach.
