Join the NHMA Advancing Physician Leaders Fellowship Program!
Are you a physician with a passion for transforming healthcare? Join the NHMA Advancing Physician Leaders Fellowship Program! We invite you to apply for our 12-month Fellowship Program, that is designed for early and mid-career physicians ready to enhance their leadership skills and engage in advocacy and policy actions that promote health equity. Through a blend of in-person and virtual sessions, you’ll gain valuable insights, meet with key government health agencies, and collaborate with fellow leaders in the field. The fellowship culminates in a capstone project aimed at improving health outcomes in the Latino community.

We are excited to announce that the CPASS Foundation’s Chicago Area Health and Medical Careers Program™ (CAHMCP) is now accepting applications for the 2024- 2025 academic year! We invite eligible students to apply for one of our five impactful initiatives, each designed to support Underrepresented in Medicine (URiM) students on their journey toward a successful health or medical career.
The Gates Scholarship Application is Now Open!
The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding, minority, high school seniors from low-income households. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to exceptional student leaders, with the intent of helping them realize their maximum potential.
NHHF Hispanic Health Professional Student Scholarship
Since 2004, the Hispanic Health Professional Student Scholarship program has supported students in medical, nursing, dental, pharmacy, and public health fields. This scholarship also includes a unique mentoring program, pairing recipients with professionals to guide their career growth.
NHHF and MOLA share a common mission dedicated to improving the health, well-being, and representation of the Hispanic/Latino community. Our shared commitment to education, cultural competence, and health equity underscores the importance of the NHHF Scholarship in fostering the next generation of healthcare leaders.
Christina Marra Visiting Scholars Rotation
The Department of Neurology at University of Washington in Seattle, WA is offering up to $2500 in reimbursement for travel and housing expenses to complete a visiting rotation with us. The funding is available to 3rd and 4th year medical students with excellent academic records who are interested in a career in Neurology and have had to overcome significant barriers or traveled a great distance on their way to becoming a physician. Attention will be given to those who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing and advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion, however, involvement in these activities is not strictly required.

2023-2024 MATEC Clinician Scholars Program
The Midwest AIDS Training + Education Center (MATEC) invites you to apply for the regional 2023-2024 MATEC Clinician Scholars Program. The Clinician Scholars Program is designed for minority and/or predominantly minority serving Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Advanced Practice Nurses, and Pharmacists who are interested in expanding their capacity to provide HIV/AIDS care. The aim of the Clinician Scholars Program is to increase the number of clinicians that provide care to underserved or disproportionately-affected populations.
$122 million initiative funded by Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation, Gilead Sciences, and Amgen.
Winn CDA is a 2-year program designed to support the career development of early-stage investigator physicians (as defined by NIH) who are underrepresented in medicine (URM) or who have a demonstrated commitment to increasing diversity in clinical research. The program prepares participants to become independent clinical trial investigators engaged in advancing health equity through their research and mentoring. The goal of Winn CDA is to transform the clinical research landscape by building and strengthening partnerships between clinical investigators and the communities where their patients reside, with a goal of ultimately engaging a patient population that mirrors the epidemiology of the disease studied.
