Presenter: Bryan Huerta

 

Bryan Huerta currently serves as the Chair of the LGBTQ+ Taskforce at the Medical Organization for Latino Advancement (MOLA). He recently graduated from the College of Applied Health Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he majored in Rehabilitation Science and minored in Biology and Psychology. His primary interest in healthcare is investigating health disparities within minority groups across the Chicagoland area, such as Latinx and African American communities while promoting LGBTQ+ health.

 

Competencies:

Cultural Competence and Sensitivity, Familiarity with statistics on HIV prevalence and incidence in the Latinx community, Emphasis on the importance of tailored healthcare approaches that consider the unique needs of Latinx patients.
