MOLA leaders and members took on a national stage at the National Hispanic Medical Association (NHMA)’s national conference in Washington, D.C. from April 11-14th, 2019. MOLA achievements during this conference included NHMA young physician of the year, Dr. Jonathan Moreira, Recognition for Hispanic Society leadership for Mr. Óscar Zambrano, inauguration of new NHMA board member Dr. Pilar Guerrero, invited speaking by Dr. Pilar Ortega Regarding Medical Spanish, and poster presentations by student Geraldine Shirzai and resident Dr. Alex Díaz.
