Virtual Academic Poster Session Program (September 28th-October 3rd)

There will be a total of 25 featured poster presentations that will be virtually available for attendees via the iPoster platform between September 28th-October 2nd, as well as during the October 3rd Symposium Program.

Each poster presentation page will include the poster and also a video of the presenter explaining their research work. Additionally, presenters will host two (2) office hour sessions in which they will be available to answer any questions from attendees. The link of the poster presentation platform will be sent to registered attendees’ via email. We hope you can engage and learn from these incredible presenters!

Featured poster presentations cover a variety of topics that encompass and represent the core objectives of this year’s symposium:

  • Understand key issues in Hispanic/Latino/a/x health and health disparities on a local, regional, or national level, including as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Identify evidence-based strategies to address gaps and barriers in Latino/a/x health and discuss options for implementation of “best practices” with Latino/a/x patients and communities.
  • Describe current innovation in academic research, community practice, or educational development that have an impact on improving Latino/a/x health equity.
  • Discuss next steps in advancing equity and representation of Latinos/as/xs in medical careers and other areas of health professional advancement, with a particular emphasis on anti-racism and other -isms.
