We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Jairo Mejia, Chief Medical Officer at ACCESS Community Health Network, to the MOLA-NAMS Annual Conference! With over 8 years of leadership at ACCESS and a background in academics and community health, Dr. Mejia is a dedicated advocate for health equity.
In his talk, “Health Inequity in Chicago: A Persistent Challenge Without Clear Solutions,” Dr. Mejia will delve into the pressing issue of health inequities in Chicago, emphasizing the urgency and worsening state of these disparities. He’ll advocate for grassroots solutions, showing how community-led initiatives can create meaningful change over time. Dr. Mejia will also showcase successful local projects that are making strides in addressing health disparities and highlight the significant contributions of Hispanic leaders in improving health outcomes across Chicago communities.
